I know that stress tests like this are pretty rare in a real world usage of a CPU (on idle my chip stays around 33-35° Celsius), but quite some times i render 3D stuff, so it might happen quite frequently to have a high utilisation for 1-2 hours straight. I have a single slot radiator liquid cooling system from corsair, and after 1 hour of AIDA64 at 100% usage i get a max value of 91° Celsius (196 F°), with an average temperature just before stopping the test at around 86° Celsius (187 F°). I'm only worried about one thing, temperatures. The system is smooth, no crashes upon intense stress tests and performance are better. Memory Overclock (X.M.P profile 1, which basically set the settings automatically to reach 2133 mhz) Core voltage: 1200 (1.2 v) (The original voltage of my chip was around 0.95) Overclock Mode: Fixed (same for all the cores) Upon following some guides, and the advice of some friends, i managed to overclock with CPU to these settings: I mostly use my computer for work (2D and 3D animation), so i want to get the most performance from my CPU as possible.Īfter 3.5 years owning my i7 4790k i finally decided to overclock it from 4 to 4.5 GHz.
